All lip products fade for me in an hour or so. It doesn't matter if it's a lipstick, gloss, stain, tint, it all comes off. Longwear products don't seem to last long on me.
Is there something I could try? Is there a stain what works well? Could you recommend a primer?
If something, like a stain, seems to work it only stays around the outside of my mouth. The products wears off the center of my lips within an hour.

I find that putting a nude lip liner on first helps to hold my color! I fill in my lips with the liner for a base.

I agree! Laying down a nude lip liner helps my lipstick stay on much longer!

Or if you use a brow wax like the one from Anastasia, it works amazing and it'll last hours without having to reapply! Also you can try using a lip stain and once you put those on they don't move, there just a little drying so you can use a Chapstick or a gloss on top.

When I perform, I put on one coat of lipstick, follow with a dusting of a translucent setting powder, another coat of lipstick, another coat of powder, a final coat of lipstick, and then blot it with a tissue. If it can last through an hour and a half of intense singing (and sweating) then maybe it's feasible for non-theatre situations.

I usually find puting on eye primer lip primer and face primer before lip products makes them last MUCH longer!

Lip liner or a lip primer would help. Too Faced and Sally Hansen make primers so you can get them in a range of prices. Also, a simple lip balm before applying color might help with longevity.

You have to use a lip liner on well exfoliated lips, then apply lipstick using a brush , dab off the excess with pouting on a tissue, finally use a lipstick sealant. avons lip cote is theee best.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I'll try the lip liner idea. Today I tried putting ELF's Lip Lock Pencil all over my lips first and that seemed to help some. Next time I'm at Sephora I am going to ask about primers. Does anyone have a favorite? Sarah, I'll check out Too Faced's like you recommended. I haven't been able to find the Sally Hansen one in stores. I have never heard of a lip sealant before. Can anyone tell me more about them?
