You want it thicker? just go for a one length and maybe just a few layers, unless you want it short, get a blunt bob x

Depends how much you damage or if you want to keep a style.

Thats not true Laura, unfortunately thats just a myth someone told you. :( Sorry! You should still cut your hair once every 4-6 weeks- no matter what!! even if you don't heat damage your hair that often (your hair still can get damaged from being outside, in the sun, brushing it while wet, or even washing your hair in too hott of water) or want to keep a style, its recommended you cut it this often & even if its just to trim the dead ends; and here's why... by doing this is will make your hair appear its growing faster &healthier because the ends won't snap off & will keep the split ends from splitting further up the hair shaft. Hair grows at the same speed for every single person it's between 1/2 to an 1inch month no more than that- (at best, my hair doesn't grown an inch a month but this is all what I learned at aveda) so there really isn't a need to cut it more than every 4-6 weeks, but it will really make a difference in the quality of your hair getting it cut every month, I promise. And since you have long hair and want it to stay that way you are probably apprehensive about cutting it that often but just trimming it that often will keep your length in better condition and help the length you have not break off! Hope that helps!

As little as possible. Keep your hair healthy so it doesn't get dry or split and having to trim it.

Preferably 1 time each month for extremely healthy looking hair. My mom tells me every 3-6 months. But my hair technically "dies" at the end every month after a hair cut.

Of you don't cut it the split ends will go higher, meaning you would have to get more cut off.
