Hey everyone, I've been MIA from beautylish and youtube and promise to make a return soon enough. But today I'm laying in bed pondering through pinterest and watching vanderpump and deciding to leave you guys with a couple tips and tricks for summer makeup. We all know the weather is beginning to transition into warmer weather, and that means tanner skin and a summer glow are two things that will be sported through makeup. So here's a few tips & tricks :

Tip 1 : Less is more.

Hot days can definitely make you break a sweat which is something us girls really try to avoid, especially if we're on a date. Try the L'Oreal Lumi Foundation to prevent this. It goes on light and weightless with perfect medium coverage, great for girls who just need a little extra boost to create a flawless face. Finish with a powder, and this foundation will stay on throughout the day and break the sweat!

Tip 2: Create the illusion of sun-kissed skin

Whether you love to tan or you try to avoid sun damage as much as possible, sun kissed skin looks flattering on everyone and can be achieved through foundation and bronzer. Start with a darker foundation on the outer ring of your face and blend it in towards the center. Don't bring it in too much. Then, take a lighter foundation and fill in the places you didn't cover. Finish with a little bronzer and contour and viola! When you put darker colors on the outside of your face and lighter colors inside, it will draw more attention to the inner and draw light away from the outer which creates an illusion of sun kissed. The bronzer and contour will give it that extra boost, and if you want, you can even through in a little highlight on the tops of your cheeks to give a glow.

Tip 3: Always prime your eye lids

Priming your eyelids will definitely prevent creasing throughout the day. You want to be very careful while in hot weather because it could melt your eyeshadow and cause creasing. Remember, less is more, so try to stick to low amounts of eye shadows and a good primer will promise you lasting shadow!

Tip 4 : Neutrals with a pop of color

Neutrals will always be your best friend. These colors look good no matter what season it is, and they can be played up and down as much as you want to give you whatever effect you're aiming for. Start with a light neutral shadow all over the lid and just a tad darker for the crease. On you bottom lash line, pick a bright color that compliments your eyes. Blue eyes look amazing with a sea green, brown eyes look great with blue or purple, and green eyes look great with almost everything. These bright pops of colors will bring our your gorgeous hues of blue, green, or brown and make your eyes stand out. They're perfect for the summer time because don't we all want to sport bright colors somehow? Finish with a light liquid liner and mascara and the look will be complete.

Lastly, Tip 5: Lip Stains

Lip stains are perfect if you're going to be running around all day. They never melt in your bag, and will never melt off your face. They give you the perfect amount of color and make your lips look completely kissable. You won't have to deal with re-applying here and there because most stains promise to stay on for ATLEAST 5 hours.

Yes it will! I used that last year and it stayed on all day! If you need a full coverage foundation that will work perfectly, but don't use too much or sweat and the sun will reveal how much makeup youre wearing.

It really depends on your preference! some girl's waterline get irritated by certain liners so eye shadows work just as great. but if you're looking for it to really pop, a liner and then set with the same color eyeshadow will keep it lasting all day and add in a little extra pigment (:
