Okay, I have light brown hair now but I'm thinking of going a bright red color. The problem is I have no idea how I'm suppose to maintain it. Any tips? It's going to be the first time doing anything like this to my hair. So I haven't dealt with dyed hair. Red is supposedly harder to keep in your hair. So, I need all the help I can get.

Red is, you definitely need to upkeep more with red, especially vibrant tones. Make sure you use sulfate free shampoo, keep it healthy and conditioned. Shampoo as little as possible.

I'd get some dry shampoo (it gets grease out without having to wash it and lose color). It works really well for me, since I'm constantly trying to maintain my red hair.
