As I mentioned in a previous conversation I'm looking at getting some new make up I looked into elf and you guys were great giving me your thoughts on them. I have come across another brand that I know nothing about nyx what are your thoughts? doo you have a fav product if so what?

A lot of people on here rave about it. I don't really like anything so far. It seems cheaply made. The eyeshadow palette I got is very flaky/crumbly, an the lip pencils, while great colors, are so waxy-again I think cheap.

LOVE! They have so many good things, and I own pretty much everything they have...My favorites from them are they're matte eyeshadows (really pigmented), the HD foundation, the PORE FILLER (works sooo freaking good & is so moisturizing), they're eyebrow marker (sounds scary, but it's a felt tip marker that looks really natural and dries to a powdery finish), the stay matte not flat powder, concealer in a jar (I use this everyday, it doesn't crease, and I love how it's in a little jar so it's easy to get the product out of), all of their matte lipsticks (they're really pigmented with only one coat, and stay on for a really long lasting- but with the matte finish you'll want to use a lipgloss over it most of the time because it can be drying bc of the finish, but the satin finish ones aren't like that), and the khol waterproof extreme shine jet black pencil (It's comparable to Stillas stay all day waterproof pencil, this is great for tightlining I use this everyday to do that and I love that it's around $7 and it's the only "drugstore" brand khol pencil I've ever gotten to stay in my waterline, because most of them don't they just fade away super quick the minute I blink lol) But these are just my opinions :) I deff love this brand so much, and I prefer it over so many high end brands because it's just really good quality, the price is great to be able to try everything out guilt free and I love their color selections of all the products! Also the only thing I've ever returned from NYX that I absolutely hated was the cream glitter palettes, it was so pretty it looked like cream glittery eyeshadow in a bunch of bright colors- but when I got it home it was litterally like petroleum jelly and glitter, and the back of the palette said do not use on eyelids, and it was so hard to get the glitter off and onto your skin and after the top layer of glitter it wasn't really glitter anymore...I was really dissapointed with that, but that has honestly been the only thing. I have no problem saying if something sucks, and out of the brands in that price range- and even against some of the high end brands I'd rather choose NYX, so I think that says a lot about their products. I really love the stuff I have tried. I have the slim lip pencils and they're very creamy, very pigmented and last all day. the round lipsticks are awesome, I've got them in narcissus, orange soda, iced lavender, eggplant, they're pigmented, soft and creamy, have a smell but not an unpleasant one, they have okay staying power but teamed with the lip pencil they last ages. I also have some single eyeshadows and they're awesome! I really love how soft they are, there's a bit of fallout but nothing I'd stress over, they blend well and come in a great range of finishes. I definitely can't wait to try more products.

Oh I also have a jumbo eye pencil in oyster which is a beautiful unique colour, very pigmented and amazing texture.

I like the nyx products but have found a few shadows powders etc.that I'm not a huge fan of. I have the make-up artist pallette and it's awesome, lots of colors and great for playing around on a budget.
