I have naturally dark brown hair. Is there any way I can dye my hair a bright red color (kind of like Hayley Williams' red) without bleaching it? I tried doing it at home, but it turned out as more of a red tint. I'd really prefer to not bleach it, but I think it might be necessary...?
I'm also low on money so I'd rather do it at home rather than get it professionally done.

I have dark brown hair naturally so I used the loreal excellence for dark hair at Sally's. after I brightened it up with the bright red I wanted.

Check out my post about coloring your hair white, it can show you how to lighten your hair without bleaching (then the rest is about bleaching) If you want a super-vibrant color like hers you will probably have to use bleach eventually. Use Manic Panic or Splat! hair colors because they are direct-dyes and last longer, but I am telling you this as a person who has to do a LOT of haircare using Manic Panic toners that any "odd" color doesn't last very long, especially if you don't bleach your hair, so you will end up spending a lot of money maintaining it and making it look good. If you don't want to go through all the time and trouble, go on eBay --and I'm not being a smartass, it really works-- and look for cosplay wigs from China. I ordered clip-in bangs and a full pink wig from them for less than $20 (because of the exchange rate) and they both look AWESOME. You can even heat-style them a little bit. Otherwise expect to pay at least $40 to get the look she has at first. If you're going to do it that way, add a little of the dye to your shampoo to keep it that color as long as possible.

Believe me when I tell you COLOR DOESN't LIGHTEN COLOR that's a big rule to remember so coloring your hair on top of hair that already has been colored will only get darker so sad to say you will have to bleach your hair to achieve a bright red
