I'm getting $100 pretty soon, and am looking to invest in a high-end foundation. I've always used drugstore foundations, so I want to see the differences, if there are any. Right now I have pretty dry skin, as it's winter, but in the summer it can tend towards oily in my t-zone. I'm also acne prone, so something for sensitive skin might be best. I like liquid and cream foundations, and medium to full coverage, as I've got some acne scarring that I like to cover. I'm relatively fair, with cool leaning undertones. I'm just looking for recommendations or opinions on your favorite high-end foundations! Thanks in advance!

I'm fair and quite sensitive too, I mostly tend to stay with mineral foundations as they don't clog pores or irritate sensitive skin. The best liquid foundation I found was Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow. It had great coverage yet felt so light. I found I didn't need to touch up as much throughout the day aswell. Hopefully this helps you a little :)

I got a deluxe sample of the Hello Flawless in a Benefit complexion set a while back, but the shade was way too orange for me, so I could never wear it =( I liked the feel of it, especially because at the time it was summer and it felt really light on. Thanks for the input!

I swear by Cover FX. They carry it as sephora--great coverage that stays put all day!

Make Up Forever, Kat Von D or Bare Minerals. Bare minerals is only powder though I believe but I actually like it a lot. It works great and I'm not much into powder. The other two should have colors to match your skin tone and they offer medium to full coverage. Make up forever you can buy matte too I believe which will absorb oil. Hope this helps!

I haven't used Tarte foundation but their concealer is FANTASTIC so I would definitely consider using their foundation as well

I use either nars sheer glow or Laura mercier mineral powder at the moment! I fing sheer glow can work very differently with different moisturisers so it would be a risk but when you find the right moisturiser for underneath it is brilliant! But at the moment when I don't need a high coverage I use on top of moisturiser Laura mercier mineral powder which I loveeee! I focus on concealing with this powder then buff it on and it just gives the most beautiful colour and texture as it is not powdery but nice and dewy which is on trend at the moment. I have combination skin! My nose is oily but I get dry patches but it just makes my skin look really even and nice! Hope this has helped xx

Thanks for the input everyone! I can't do mineral foundations unfortunately, they make me break out like crazy. My skin just reacts really badly to one of the ingredients in them. I've heard good things about the Nars Sheer Glow, but I've also heard that it clings to dry patches. Has anyone had anything like that happen with it?

I use Nars sheer glow and it has never clung to my dry patches, and I have incredibly dry skin around my t-zone area. It could appear cakey if you use a lot of it, however!

If you really want to invest in a high-end foundation, I would suggest Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation...hands down! three letters O-M-G!! lol...but honestly its the best...next up for really full coverage cover fx, Laura mercier silk foundation is good too...then I'd say NARS glow foundation, then MUFE HD, then UD Naked.
