Blending hair extensions??

I got some hair extensions he other day and I've been playing around with them. My hair is shoulder length and very thick, so I'm having a bit of trouble blending them. I got them to blend in mostly yesterday, I just want it to look flawless. Any tips? (not getting it cut with the extensions in)
