Hi all

Please help me find a makeup look that will compliment my outfit.

Have found a lot of purple and gold smokey eye looks but not sure if these would work with what I'm planning to wear (pic attached)

It's a purple and gold heavily embroidered/sequined two piece dress. The lower half of the dress is just the plain purple chiffon skirt. The top half (pictured) is embellished quite a lot so should I definitely rule out a glitter look?

Natural eyes are brown and usually wear glasses but will be wearing green contact lenses to the wedding I'm going to.
I'd describe it as light/medium. I wear Mac shade NC25.

Have you thought of doing something like a brown smoky eye, cheek color like incandescent electra from Hourglass or blushing tresor from Lancome? I think that would really compliment your green eyes and not take away from your dress. I'm not sure on a lip color! maybe a light pink gloss, NYX creme brulee?
I hope that helps with some ideas! Will you post your look? I'd like to see what you decide to do.

What about a smoky purple eye? I’ve done that in the past & have green eyes and it really makes them pop

Hi, I had considered purple smokey eye (yours is beautiful btw!) But decided against it as it'll be too much purple going on?
Thank you all for your suggestions. I've decided to do a gold/brown smokey eye with a touch of purple in the inner corners. Lips and eyes will be a light pink, just a touch of colour. I've attached a pic of the eye makeup I'm hopefully going to wear. (For my look the purple and gold will be swapped over so it's mostly gold with touch of purple )
