So I am going to dye my hair tomorrow.. I want to get dark blue or dark purple tinted hair. I don't want it very vibrant, I want it subtle and want it to blend with the color I have now. What I am worried about is my hair is pretty dark right now, I don't want to bleach it, but do you think I'll have too if I only want a tint and want it subtle? and what color would you suggest for me? I want to be able to cover this color if I want or need to get rid of it and go back to natural brown. Thank you!!

Since you're going for a dark color, I don't think bleaching is necessary. My natural color is darker than yours and the first time I dyed mine purple it turned out dark purple.
Look at your undertones for choosing a color. I have yellow undertones so I can rock anything with red (pink, red, orange, purple) but once I get into blue or green areas, I look washed out.

Have you gone to get your hair dyed yet? I just came across your post. I usually dye my hair myself and the last time I was at the store I seen a new semi-permanent hair dye for darker hair that was a blue/teal color. It was by colorista. Which is a new thing L'Oréal came out with. Thought maybe I would let you know in case you ever decided you might want to try it ^^ I always have a lot of fun doing my hair. I've had it every single color. And my hair is naturally really dark. I hope your hair turns out amazing :)
