Makeup look/colors for Navy blue dress?

Tomorrow is my 21st birthday and I am wear this navy blue dress (with black heels and silver jewelries) to a dinner party. Would a brown smokey eyes go well with this dress? And what color of lipstick should I wear (I don't want to do anything too intense like red lipstick)?

Navy and dramatic red lips look fantastic together. Maybe you should try it and see if you like it. You can always scrub it off. Otherwise pinks and purples look good with navy. Not sure if I would pair a brown smokey eye with it. The make up look in your profile pic would look fantastic with navy. Also: RED SHOES. I had my anniversary last Thursday, I had a navy polka dot dress, red shoes, dramatic red lips, and basic eyeliner/mascara and it looked pretty good together.

I just did a client's makeup yesterday that was wearing a navy dress so we decided to go with a silver and black gradient eye with pinky nude lips and she loved it so I definitely suggest that (:
