Hello! So I watch plenty of make up videos on YouTube, watch reviews and search for tips but still have issues with my face getting shiny mid day! I do live in Florida but It's fall and I work indoors in the AC and still get shiny!
So far I've tried:
MAC studio fix
Urban decay all nighter (oxidizes bad!)
Becca mate
Becca foundation creme
MUF HD foundation
Kate Von tattoo foundation
Reckon colorstay
Primer: benefits porefessional
I've also tried benye setting spray, and urban decays setting spray. Benefits shine control powder and ELF translucent powder
Sorry if spelling or full names not correct, not actually by my make up right now but I think I put enough info.
Anyway I just want to stay matte and not look a mess by lunch. I've been sticking to full coverage because I have acne scars.
Open to all feedback, thank you!!

Have you tried using a lightweight foundation and a heavier concealer on your acne scars? I don't have oily skin or live in a hot climate but I do know that helps a lot of oilier girls on YouTube. I think the lighter formula makes it less likely to mix with your natural oils or at least not as noticeable?

If you want really full coverage go with estee lauder maximum double wear. last all day without primer or finishing spray.

Maybe try using a mattefying primer in areas you get shiny. then add your powder on top to set.

Use a mattifying primer on the shiny spots and I highly recommend estee lauder double wear. Also I use PUR 4 in 1 powder foundation kind of as a setting powder and touch up once during the day and I'm usually good to go. I also have oily skin in my t zone area so I feel your pain.

Also maybe a few days a week and especially the night before your work days wash your face then use a mud mask before bed.. it really helps control my oil. Not sure about for anyone else but works great sure me.

I'm oily and I use Estée Lauder double wear. You should try a sample. It is thicker and full coverage for me but I don't have any issues with cakiness or separation through the day. If I'm wearing it for a long time I might powder my tzone midday but that's all I have to do, no matter what primer or setting spray I use.
Now if you're sweating bullets it's not going to stay on of course, but if you're not doing activities outside in 80+ degree weather all the time you should be good lol.

I was watching nikkia joy youtube channel and she recommended on using mac paint pots on your nose so that way no shine won't would appear on your nose for a couple of hours. I would check her channel out for tips and tricks because she has oily skin just like you and I. For me that really help the prolong wear of my nose not getting oily for a short amount of time. Thats mainly my problem area and my forhead. Also I was watching wayne Goss yt channel and he was explaining how you can put on your translucent powder first than go on with your foundation. You should check out his channel as well. I wish you all the best!!

My favorite foundations that keeps matte for a couple of hours are the loreal pro matte, Revlon colorstay stay and Nars all day luminous foundation.
