Is it possible to clean or shine Kendra Scott jewelry?
Is this even tarnished or is it rusty??
The one on top is an earring that matches the necklace, to compare what the back should look like. It looks rusty to me, because I've tried cleaning it with the bag that her jewelry comes in, as well as the bag that James Avery jewelry comes in. Kendra Scott claims that the bag can be used to clean the jewelry.
Obviously it doesn't need to be cleaned, since the dirty part is the part that goes against my skin, but it'd be nice for it look as nice as it did when I got it.

To me it looks a bit rusty, but it could just be the way it looks in the photo? Is it silver or brass with an overlay? That will determine exactly how or if it can be cleaned. It is a very unique set tho very different so that makes it special  (:

They no longer sell this style - however something that looks pretty similar is described as rhodium plated over brass...
So I guess maybe it's just the silver rubbing off? Here is a picture without flash.

Kicking myself for not thinking about to begin with! The "rusting" appearance is the silver coating rubbing off to reveal the brass underneath
