I think it's way to thick and I want to thin it out for easier and less cakey application.

I don't really think there's a way to thin it unless I just don't know about it. Try using a stipple brush and a small amount of foundation.

You could try mixing an oil or moisturizer I'm with it.

Which fit me are you taking about? I have the dewy and smooth and it's very thin IMO. When using a beauty blender the coverage is very light..

I always add a moisturizer if I want to thin any foundation out. You will get more of a tinted moisturizer effect depending on how much you add. It is great if you want more of a natural, dewy look :)

Mix it with a couple drops of a beauty oil, if you can afford to splurge I recommend the Farsáli one! This can also be used as a moisturiser and a primer, it is also infused with gold which is great for the skin

RCMA Thinner, that will thin out the foundation. It's only $12 :)

For oily skin; use an oil free/fragrance free moisturizer.

For dry skin; I'd use a good brand of hydrating oil to thin it out but keep it from looking patchy.
