I've tried setting powder from multiple brands and setting spray from one but it doesn't last long. I use moisturizer before I apply my makeup but it still seems to have no affect. Does anyone know some tricks to help?

Urban Decay Setting Spray. There is three different ones:
• all nighter
• oil control
• chill
They are amazing! It really locks you makeup in place for the day.

Right now I use a sponge to apply the rcma no color powder to my face and then use maybelline setting spray

What foundation/concealer are you using?
A good setting powder can still fail you if the base you have on just doesn't wear well.

Airspun powder (found at Walmart) or Laura mercier. Can never go wrong with those two.
I use moisturizer, let that settle in for a bit for a couple minutes. Then apply my makeup. Then right away I set with either one of these powders.

I agree that the base itself needs to be quality and suitable for your skin or setting it will do no good. as far as what you are setting with, the rcma powder is a very good one, but a sponge may be picking up more than you need, try a big fluffy brush to help get a nice thin layer. the maybelline spray did not impress me. try Ben Nye final deal or graftobian instead. the urban decay line is good but not as good and since loreal owns them the loreal spray is very, very close in ingredients and performance. but since you are using a powder it really makes me think you need to revisit your base or even your primer if you use one.

Becca ever matte primer, rimmel stay matte as a setting powder and urban decay all nighter setting spray...this combo works for oily skin in humid weather quite well.
