Dry Skin Showing Up With Foundation

Every time I use foundation after several hours it makes dark dry patches on my skin I've used serval foundations but it haven't worked. Any ideas on how to stop this?

exfoliate regularly to get rid of any flaky skin. Use a moisturiser under make up. A good primer might help too :)
