I have dry skin that can get flaky and breakout but they're not bad breakouts. I was just wondering which chemical exfoliant would be best for me?

AHAs are better for exfoliation. BHAs are better for keeping your pores clean & clear.

BHAs are just as good at exfoliating; that's why they are found in lower concentrations. If you are experiencing dryness and breakouts, supplementing your BHA with a hydrating moisturizer can accomplish a lot.

Paula's choice not only sells great exfoliating products - they also do a good job of explaining how to use them - and I really like how they explain the differences between AHAs n BHAs here:

Basically they recommend AHAs for dry or sensitive skin types because it's more gentle - and BHAs are better for oily/acne prone skin types -so I think an AHA would be better for you - hope that helps!
