Highlight the high points of your face. Cheekbones, bridge of your nose, inner corner of the eyes, etc. Contour under your cheekbones.

I do the same techniques too

If you naturally have defined cheekbones I actually just prefer to "non-tour", or use highlighting only to accentuate your natural contours.

Every face is different. So my technique may not work for everyone. I do have naturally moderately high cheekbones, but my lower face is losing volume. So I keep my contour higher up under the cheekbone, and I don't take it down too far. I don't want to thin out my face. I also keep my contour line at a higher angle, not so diagonal. Somewhere between vertical & diagonal to visually add volume to the apples of my cheeks. After contouring, the high points of my cheekbones already look highlighted, so sometimes I add highlighter & sometimes I don't. I also like to do micro contouring on my nose and I like to dust on a little red-tone bronzer across the bridge of my nose when I remember to do it for a sun kissed look. I like a tiny bit of highlight on the tip of my nose, but I prefer a satin or matte highlighter (no shimmer) for the top of the nose to avoid that glowing, Rudolph the silver-nosed reindeer look.

I think you did really well! I would just go a little lighter on the nose and chin. And for contouring, (I honestly use a deep plum eyeshadow) you could add a bit of a darker colour on your cheeks.

Oh and I love your lip colour! ☺️
