Hi everyone!
I've been breaking out a lot due to stress, so I have a lot of acne marks
Any ideas to fade them faster?
Thanks in advance!! :*

Vitamin E night cream or oil! Or fresh lemon juice, but just dab it, it is quite strong!

The ingredient that used to help with acne in toothpaste is no longer in tooth paste it can actually give you a chemical burn so be careful and also careful with the lemon juice that can make acne scarring worse from what I heard it's just not the best for skin

Baking soda, toothpaste, and lemon juice should not be used on the skin, they can cause damage to the skin!

Make sure you're exfoliating and using SPF. I also suggest using products with vitamin C, I love the Ole Henkrisen Truth Serum and the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum (I believe that's what it's called)

Assuming you are still breaking out, a good salicylic acid product used daily or as frequently as tolerated+SPF will get you the best results. Vitamin C is a good "skin lightening" agent as well, but should be seen as secondary to the first two products I mentioned.

Paula's Choice makes the best SA products on the market, and frankly they're the only ones I've seen that are worth the money. I recently grabbed this Vitamin C product off of Amazon. It's a fraction of the price of other ones you'll see and the formula lacks added fragrance/alcohol to irritate the skin.

All Vitamin C products with megadoses (think 15% or more) will have a somewhat iron-ish smell to them which should be expected, but should not be overly dark in color. I use it at night because my nose is very sensitive so I'd rather not smell it during the day.

I agree with leuca - and Paula's choice products worked great for my acne scars - I used their BHA exfoliant and their c-boost serum - and you can see how my scars faded in my photos on my profile - otherwise to answer Tiana's question - just based on my chemistry background - although I'm no expert - I'm guessing the alkaline nature of baking Soda and toothpaste would disrupt the skin's acid mantle - as the pH of our skin functions best in a slightly acidic environment (4-6) - and that could be the damage Alexis was referring to - as far as lemon juice is concerned - on its own it doesn't seem to be damaging but a chemical reaction occurs when citrus juices come in contact with the sun that can cause chemical burns - therefore making your skin more photo/light sensitive if you apply it to your face without washing it off and/or without applying SPF - when it comes to the research behind these theories there is not much evidence out there to back it up - and everyone's skin is different and responds to things differently - where something that may work well for you may not be the best for the next person - so it's always my personal policy to err on the side of caution - just knowing the chemistry of those products I personally don't want them on my skin - but many companies use them in skin care products with much success - lemon juice is used in a lot of products (including the IT cosmetics CC cream that everyone on BL raves about) so is it all that bad? Probably not but it's also probably not the best thing for your skin either - but to each their own if you choose to put that stuff on your face then more power to you - but you should be aware of the potential damages it could cause to others with more sensitive skin types - hope that helps!

I always use Vitamin E oil and it always fades the spots within a few days to a week!
