What is your favorite setting powder? I'm in desperate need of a new one. I need one that will hold up throughout the day without separating, set my makeup, and leave no white flashback. I've been looking at the Laura Mercier, RCMA, KVD lock it, and the Tarte Amazonian clay. Opinions ladies??

I love the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder, there's no flashback, doesn't look powdery, and keeps my makeup in place all day. I've also been loving the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder lately.

I very much enjoy RCMA. Great price, huge amount of product, and makes your skin texture look amazing. Can emphasize dryness if used generously if you are having a lot of issues with that, but I find it to be a very versatile product.

For a finishing powder (you buff over the face AFTER setting/applying other products), Hourglass ALPs are good. I've also been enjoying the Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Glow Powder, which is arguably even more subtle. Products like this are great for diffusing the entire face to make everything more cohesive, which is good if you like to be heavy handed with certain products (I love a strong highlight for example)

I love the tarte setting powder so much that I won't use anything else - it's leaves such a soft finish and helps my makeup last practically all day - I've never experienced white flashback with it either.

RCMA is my all time favorite. Really good powder and for a good price too!

RCMA or Kett Sett are my go to setting powders. For finishing powders, I love the Hourglass ALP's or MAC Mineralized Skin Finish. There is a big difference between setting and finishing powder. Setting is to keep your makeup in place and shouldn't add any pigment or texture. Finishing powder blurs imperfections and adds extra light or coverage.

Thanks ladies! From the looks of it I think I'll be ordering the RCMA.
