I have acne lightly on my forehead but on my right cheek I have acne scaring and a couple little spots that are actually still acne, and then occasional acne in different spots.
I use Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Pore-less foundation and NYX HD photo concealer.
Any recommendations on how to use those products better and get good coverage out of them?
Thanks in advance for all comments ☺️

I've used both of these products before. With the foundation, I would apply one layer and blend it out with a beauty-blender type sponge. My skin is extremely acne-prone, so I would apply a second layer over where my skin was extra red and anywhere I had scarring. For the concealer, I would dot it on all my blemishes and blend it out with the pointy end of my egg shaped sponge. If there are still some really aggravated pimples that aren't covered the first time, I would get a little of the concealer on my ring finger and really gently pat it directly on the blemish, and be very careful in blending it. However, recently I've switched over to the benefit boing concealer, and it works much better for concealing blemishes, and I would recommend to use a concealer that's in a pan for blemishes if you can find one that works for you.

You could try color correcting if you're not getting enough coverage with the foundation and concealer. Also dot your concealer on and then leave it to set for a minute before blending, I find that helps keep the coverage on what you're trying to cover rather than blending away.

Thank you so much Mercy! I will try doing the second layer over where my skin needs it, and try blending out my concealer with the beauty blender pointed part instead

I will look into color correcting Alexis! thank you! any kind or brand you recommend?
Also do you dot the foundation on your face and then blend it out with the beauty blender or put it on your hand and pick up the foundation with the blender and put more on as needed?

Rhiannon, Sephora Collection and Urban Decay both make great color correctors! I don't use a Beauty Blender, I use a brush and with the current foundation I use I put it onto my brush and apply it to my skin with patting/stippling motions.

Use a good primer babe. I love Smashbox pore piniminzing. Great for extra coverage and making your base last.
