Hi Ladies,
I'm in desperate need of advice... I'm not sure if my problem is a skin or foundation issue or both but over the years it seems to be getting worse and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm literally at wits end and frustrated from trying everything out there but not seeing any results. My biggest problems are combination skin that starts out dry but ends as a oil slick with clogged pores or pimples by the end of the day. Also I can't seem to find my perfect match in foundation color despite going to Sephora and having my color IQ done (every color I have tried using with the number they gave me made me look super orange). As for skin care products I've tried here's my list:
<currently using> Paula's choice acne kit (extra & regular strength)
Clinique Acne Line & # line (#3 for toner, liquid face wash, gel moisturizer)
Acne Kit from Birchbox
Kiehl's
Mario Badescu
Here's my list of foundations:
Tarte 12 Amazonian Clay Foundation (made my skin super oily, too neutral, and caused breakouts)
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea (not enough coverage, couldn't find a match in my shade)
Paula's Choice Resist Smoothing (too dark, not enough coverage, and caused breakouts)
Kat Von D Lock It (matches but dries out my skin plus by the end of the day my skin is super oily)
RCMA (too neutral and too light)
Clinique Acne Solutions (too dark, made my face look orange, and oily by end of day)
Clinique Even Better (too dark, made my face look orange, and oily by end of day)
Becca Ever Matte (too light and not enough coverage)
NARS Sheer Glow (too light or too neutral)
I've attached pictures I took the other day that show how bad my makeup looks in comparison to my natural skin, my question is what can I do to fix this? I know my makeup will never be perfect but I would like it not to look so caked on and take so long to do :'-( thanks.

For your skin I suggest cover girl bb cream or revlon color stay, but keep in mind your never going to find a perfect match. What I suggest is a foundation matcher and figuring out your under tone these will make it a lot easier. Then, moisturizer before foundation; this step is very important so your face doesn't feel or look dry when you put on foundation. Trust me on this one; it helps. And if you need any help on finding more foundations that are for acne prone, oily skin and sensitive skin watch a YouTube channel called "Thrift thick" she has lots of the same problems.
