I just bit the bullet and ordered a Viseart palette. Only because, my eyes are getting older and I find even my good quality shadows are getting hard to blend. So I've heard the Viseart shadows are a dream to blend. Well, my question is, "Does the Viseart Eyebrow and Eyeshadow palette have mattes AND satins? The Sephora description doesn't say and from a distance, they all look matte, but when I zoom in, 3 of them look slightly satin like. Does anyone know or have this palette? Any satins in it?

If you are talking about the big Viseart palettes, they will either be all matte or all satin/shimmery! I own the Sultry muse palette and absolutely adore it!
Viseart also have the smaller 6 pan palettes where 3 are matte and 3 are satin/shimmery, I believe they are called the Theory palettes :)

I debated getting the Theory, but they don't an have optimal transition shade. That kills me, because I could've been very happy with a small Viseart. I toyed with the idea of using the mid shade in the Theory palette VERY lightly and try to make it a transition shade, but the whole idea of me getting a Viseart, is that I don't have to work too hard blending shades out. We'll see...when I get it, if I'll keep it or not. Was thinking about the Viseart PETIT that has satins and mattes, but they are described as having the PARIS formula, whatever that means. I was afraid they wouldn't have been as smooth as the original Visearts.

All of the Viseart shadows have the same formula. they are all handmade in paris, which may have been what you read. anastasia, the owner, was in a Facebook group and explained that because of french laws and regulations its difficult and costly to change the formula. so if that's the only thing keeping you from the petit, no worries there. otherwise, as Sabrina said all of the 12 pan palettes are all satin/shimmer or all matte, including the eyebrow one.

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll just wait and see how much I like it.

I have a question, what other brand of eyeshadows has a formula CLOSET to the Viseart formula. Also, I was reading some reviews about this palette and someone said that Viseart does divulge the eyebrow/shadow palette having a slightly different formula than the regular palettes. They also say while they are still high quality and super blendable, since they are somewhat more targeted for the brows, they are not as pigmented as the other straight shadow palettes. If that's only difference....pigmentation, I'm ok with that. I prefer a more natural look. But I hope they are as blendable as the regular ones or better since supposedly the pigmentation is lessened.

I have a 6 pan Viseart palette. 3 are matte, 3 are subtle shimmer. Verity beautiful shadows.

That's good to know about the brow palette. I honestly can't think of an eyeshadow that would be closest. they are unique in texture even, they are quite soft and airy to the point your almost want to call them chalky but they aren't. they pick up and deposit very well, apply evenly and blend better than anything I've tried. I want to say MUG mattes and satins are closest but still not really close because as much as I love MUG viseart blows them out the water.

I've had a chance to use the Viseart. At first glance, it is NOT a pretty palette to look at. It's almost off-putting. But, on the eyes , it gives a true neutral eye look. It seems the other 2 neutral palettes, the warm and even the cool one, are still a little warmer than I was looking for. I was looking for true neutrals ranging from beige to black. But I didn't want any grays or silvers. So the Brow palette fits the bill. I find the formula close to the KatVonD Shade & Light palette, like you said a tad chalky. But the Viseart performs better and is easier to blend than the KatVonD. I do plan on using the pomade as shadows too, since I have really dry lids, maybe alone or maybe the the shadow on top. Or maybe the pomade on top of the shadow for a little shine or dimension.
