Foundation that does not settle on the mouth area.

My main concern with foundations is that they cling to the fine lines around my mouth area almost instantly. After years searching, I found out that Revlon colorstay is what works best for me! However, with the summer months ahead, I would like to change to a lighter coverage foundation.
Do you have any drugstore recommendations?
I have oily skin btw, and prefer a matte finish, but I'd also like to go for a more natural one

Cling as in, dryness or by cling do you mean creasing?

(If you mean creasing) I know a lot of people will recommend a tinted moisturizer or a bb cream but honestly, if you're oily it'll just be a mess.
They have too much emollients cause they're meant to be more moisturizing and light but the mixture of heat, sweat and your oils it'll just melt off.

I recommend just trying a powder foundation. They feel much lighter than liquids. I'd prefer investing in the MAC studio fix cause it's my holy grail BUT I believe the L'Oreal true match powder is nice too. Its pigmented and velvety and has a lot of shades. Although, I like how MAC offers powders with a yellow/green tone, yellow slightly beige shades, golden shades, peach shades, neutral, pink with slightly beige as well as pink shades whereas the L'Oreal true match only offers pink, peachy beige and yellow undertones but still a lot of shades

I'd recommend spraying with water or water glycerin mic after you're done.
The water helps the powder mend with your skin and sets it. It can also help it match better, usually powder looks lighter initially and will oxidize as your oils produce but the water will help it oxidize. As far as fine lines,usually less product in that area helps a ton and switching over to a water/glycerin based moisturizer since it hydrates without leaving oils on your skin which will just contribute to creasing

I know a lot of people assume powders don't have to be "set" but think about eyeshadows, they're powder yet they can blend out and even blended so much that they don't even show up. It's the same thing. The water or water/glycerin mixture will lay the powder flat onto your skin.

Thank you so much for the full description Aurora. I've never looked for powder foudations cause I always assume they either have no coverage or will end up looking too powdery, but you're right about setting them, never really thought about that.
The BB cream would also be an option and I've heard great reviews about the Misha one, but as you've said, it will most likely end up melting on my face when it's really hot an humid outside

I saw a girl recommended using eye primer around that area just before you apply foundation. I tried it and it works! Some foundations definitely settle in those lines more than others, but try the eye primer trick!
