I suggest using a cream highlight under foundation , I have oily skin and this helps me not look too much like a disco ball!

Where are you applying it and what does the rest of your routine look like? Powder highlight is what I prefer as an oily skin person

Go with powder highlight, and where are you applying it? I'd avoid the T-zone and avoid applying too close inward near the T-zone if you're talking about a shimmery highlight.

If you're talking about under eye highlight, try using a powder to just brighten up the area rather than a cream because the extra emollients aren't going to do you much favors as far as preventing shine

You may want to try a less shimmery highlighter like Laura Geller French Vanilla or the highlighter in the Kevyn Aucoin Neo Bronzer Trio.

I'm not a huge fan of their highlighters, though I've only tried two of them. Do you like that particular color and would be open to a dupe? Or are you just looking for something easier to work with?

Ignite by MUG and Betty Loumanizer by The Balm are both close shade wise, and pretty easy to work with in terms of texture, check the swatches on Temptalia if you want another opinion.

They are a bit more expensive to purchase but you get a much larger amount of product and can simply use brushes, which makes them easier to blend in my opinion. I like to apply powder highlight after setting my face, then buff over with finishing powder to make sure everything is seamless. Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Glow Powder is actually just a cheaper version of NARS' Crystal Powder Pressed if you're looking for something to buff over the face without it looking like a heavy layer of product. It's not actually a glowy product.

While I would normally avoid cream highlight on oily skin, I have one exception: RMS Magic Luminizer. It has a very dry consistency in the pot- when you pat it onto your skin, it kind of melts in. It's hard for me to make it work on dry skin- I have to warm it up on my hand and even add a drop of oil sometimes. If you prefer to stick with powder, use a small tapered brush for minimal application- or even pat in on with your fingers. I love using a fan brush because it gives a beautiful diffused look and doesn't over apply product. The Dior powder highlights are beautiful.

Oily skin girls should use more powder products. I would steer away from cream highlighters because it'll add a dewy finish to your skin, and it may slide around throughout the day. I haven't tried very many powder highlights, so I can't recommend you one based off of my experience, but I would watch videos of trustworthy YouTubers that have a similar skin type to you and see what they recommend using.
