Tips For Dyed Red Hair

After researching for weeks, I finally decided to dye my hair a fire red last week. I've been dreading to wash my hair since I could see all the dye pouring out, so i bought the riveting reds shampoo & conditioner (any opinions on that?)
but, I knew it would take a lot more upkeep than other colors, so i'm wondering if anyone has any more helpful tips or tricks to keep the red color strong for a while. Thanks in advance:)
