I recently has micro dermabrasion and am thrilled with the results but my foundation is not sticking to my nose! It's like the skin on my nose is very thin and smooth like baby skin and foundation slides off. Any tips for me? Is there a primer that would help?

Try applying a little bit of a Mac paint pot closest to your skin colour on your nose before applying foundation! This usually works for areas that foundation won't stick to, cracks on, and helps with concealing blemishes as well.

This happens to me to but make sure your are moisturizing and priming before and leaving it time to set but I watched this video and it says to use eye primer on your nose before foundation and it actually helped! Hope this helps and let me know if it works for you:) ♡

I'm sure you're aware, but it's because the skin is too smooth and foundation needs pores to stick to. try putting on your moisturizer and then just a tiny bit, I mean a hostia thin layer, of powder underneath it. if that doesn't work, you may have to just give it some time to heal and sheer your foundation out on the rest of your face until then.

Your skincare routine can also affect application. I enjoy having a slightly tacky base to work with if I'm going to be applying foundation/bb cream, then immediately setting with powder.

I'm going to try all these tricks. I definitely have the skincare down. I purchased a more tacky primer to use just on my nose (Benefit Porefessional) and I am going to try that tomorrow. I tried the powder first trick today and that worked for about 6 hours and then it seemed like my nose was bare. I have MAC paint pots so I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your help. So much good advice. I'll update you on what worked. Who ever thought making my skin too soft and smooth would be problematic? Lol

Let us know how it goes!
I've seen plenty of professional MUA advise their bridal clients to not do any kind of dermabrasion/peel for about a week prior to having their make-up done for this very reason, lol!
They describe it like applying make up on a plastic doll, slides right off!

This is true, Kitty. I probably just have go give it time. On the plus side, my skin is looking better everyday. I had some surface redness (typical with micro dermabrasion) that I wanted to cover but I should probably just wait to heal :)
