I like a variety of brushes, natural hair, synthetic, unusual shapes and sizes. And from years of purchasing, using and experimenting with brushes. I've learned to use a brush for whatever need it serves. I use a shadow and liner brushes for concealing, a contour brush for under eye concealer and I use an angled blush brush for applying cream highlighter. You don't have to use a brush for the sole purpose of what it's meant for. When trying to get a look, use whatever brush that will give you the results your looking for. In my experience, you can start using a brush for the purpose it's meant for, but, if it's not giving you the effect you're going for, then start thinking outside the box & experimenting with brushes that have a different purpose and use it for whatever fits your purpose. Everyone's eyes & face is different and we all have different skin concerns. It makes sense, that a certain, let's say, blush brush is not going to work with every face. Not, to mention, certain brushes work differently with certain products. For eg. blush. There are cream, powder, gel/powder hybrids. Not one blush brush will work for every type of blush formula. Skin is different too, dry, oily, textured, pory etc. Just have a open mind and have fun. Good luck.
