Champagne Pop, just based on the fact that Soft and Gentle has a teeny amount of glitter within the shimmer, whereas Champagne Pop is just shimmer (glitter is not my thing). It's minute, but when the shimmer wears off a bit, you're left with glitter. I'm sure it doesn't do this on everybody, but this was my experience. And also, Champagne Pop has more of a peach undertone (I prefer golds & peaches when it comes to highlighters) and Soft and Gentle has more of a pink & white undertone which isn't as flattering on a medium to tan skintone like mine.

Becca, I'm not a huge fan of MAC, I think Becca's quality is vastly superior.

Becca, 100%

Becca. Mac has bigger chunks of shimmer and it's more pink, I prefer a more golden tone for my skin. I don't like Mac as a brand in general. the liquid becca are where it's really at though in my opinion. they can be super subtle and natural or very intense but never glittery. while beccas powder is beautiful from a distance it still has small specs of glitter that you can see up close which bumps it down my list of favorites to about number 4. it can be built up to be very intense or blended down to be quite subtle, and the texture is soft but almost creamy so it's easy to work with.

@Aleena interested to know why another rare person doesn't like MAC, and you are probably too young to remember or know what it was really like before Estée Lauder bought the line about 18 years ago. When it was Frank Toskan's and Canadian owned it was much better quality, I still didn't love it, but it was so, so much better.

I have both and although they are both amazing, I like the mac one.

I like mac's extra dimension stuff. The regular line of highlighters are average.

Becca's highlighters are nice, but they're still shimmery in a way that can be obvious up close.

I guess between the two you mentioned I'd go with Becca, but only slightly.

I prefer Mac. I don't have either because I don't like powder highlighters very much but I really don't get the hype of Becca powder highlighters. I had one and returned it because my 5$ drugstore one performed better. Although Mac has stepped down in quality, they still have a great range of products and a staple like soft and gentle that's been loved for years is still so many people's go too favorite highlighter. Color wise I also prefer Mac, because I like a more pink toned highlight.
I don't really think they're that comparable though, two very different textures and colors

@Feroza I've just never had luck with their products. either they don't do the job well or something else does it better. the reps and customer service are 100% about sales and 0% about cosmetics or beauty from what I've experienced. I don't like a few business moves they've made like upping prices but downsizing the product. it's owned by estee lauder and that's enough for me to give it extra scrutiny. no, I'm not old enough to remember it as an independent company but I believe you when you say it was better. I've heard that a few time.

@Aleena: Agreed, the artists in Canada I will say are very good, good MUA's and more product /client focused rather than just making a sale. I've been around the brand since it was just lipsticks sold in hair salons in the 80's, my mother loves the lipsticks, since the mattes never bleed and they really were the first to do mattes, but I've never been thrilled by any product during the Frank days, and after, well it went a bit cheesy with Estée.
