Hey Beautylish community, hope your new year is going great!
Currently, I'm really wanting one of these holographic/duochrome or whatever you want to call it palettes.
I've looked up swatches of both the Moonchild and Alchemist and they both look to be good quality, but I was hoping some of you would have either owned or actually tried one or both of these palettes!
I'm leaning toward the Moonchild for now because there are more colors and I'm generally a fan of most ABH products anyway. Also, the KVD pans look really small, but maybe it's just in photos.

I got the Moonchild as a Christmas gift and I am in love. I use it every day and never disappointed. There has been days that I have had to put on less because it's so pigmented and I look like a glowing star. It also smells really good, oddly enough.

Moonchild. The KVD one is awfully small. I own the Moonchild and use it almost every time I wear makeup. It's surprisingly wearable but still lends an ethereal look.

I have both palettes and they are definitely different. Although they might look similar they are much different in color. I love both palettes! Although the kat von D palette is much smaller, it is also much more versatile. I've used it on my lips, on top of eye shadows and even on my nails! it always glides on and is extremely creamy. It's definitely a palette I'm glad I bought. The ABH palette is very beautiful and slightly less creamier although it is allot bigger. I really enjoy this palette aswell I love mixing the colors although I wouldn't recomend trying to use it on the lips for more than a picture because it just blends into it and leaves them feeling chalky. I'm actually wearing KVD "Amethyst" on the inner corners of my eye in my profile picture. If you're looking for an everyday palette I would recomend the ABH moonchild only because the colors aren't as bright. I do feel like the KVD palette is meant for a more dramatic look (which I love) so all in all it really depends on what your everyday makeup is like. Best of luck to you.

Thank you Essie and Veronica! Essie the size of the KVD is what holds me back the most from tht one even though it does look lovely.
Veronica I have read they are actually pretty different. I'm glad you have both that helps a lot! Thank you for the reviews. I do really want to put it over eyeshadow and lipsticks but also want a lighter look when it's on my face. It'll probably take me forever to choose lol

I'm absolutely in love with the alchemy palette I've used it everyday since I've bought it, I use it to pop my eye looks it's absolutely stunning, I've already hit pan on the pink shade so I'm ordering another one. I can't speak for the moon child palette because if I can't get points and 2 day shipping lol I won't order it, however if it ever comes to sephora it's on my list (:
