Andrea, I don't get all the hype either. People saying they like them better than mac? The majority of my brushes are mac and I would NEVER reach for an ecotools brush over mac. I bought a travel eye ecotools brush set after getting their kabuki and powder brush, which I liked ok, so I was curious about the eye brushes, but I don't use them ever. Well, that's a lie, I use one of the larger ones to set concealer under my eyes with powder ;) I don't even use the powder brush anymore! The buffing brush is the only one that I think I actually USE and like ok. I needed a new one and ulta didn't have real techniques buffing brushes. RT & ET were both buy one get one half off that night, so I got a RT brush I wanted and then paid like $4 for the ET buffer, or I wouldn't have purchased any more ET brushes ever probably.

Their retractable kabuki is a brush that I use every day for applying/buffing in my setting powder. I like their eye brushes as well, and I think they're nice for the price. I like that I can just run to Target or a drugstore for brushes that I trust if I have a brush emergency (I don't have a Sephora, Ulta, or any makeup counters in my town). I've used better brushes but I've certainly used worse as well.

I have one Eco tools eyeshadow brush and I use it but I find it to be very stiff. I reach for my elf eyeshadow brush before I reach for the ecotools one actually. They are decent for the money BUT if your going to spend the money the real techniques are just as much and better quality. Also if you like your Ecotools brushes that's all that matters :)

They are super soft!! They never shed, hold color well and blend blend. I just bought the eyelash eyebrow thing and it's been great
