I'm fond of natural eyes with a pop of color either in the crease or blended out on the outer half of the lid. My go to is a sparkly beige (Maui Wowee from Urban Decay is my fave) and then either a teal (Flipside from UD) or light blue (Shattered also by UD) blended in somewhere. I've done it with pink and purple too. Its one of my favorite looks because its simple yet looks neat

You can use a gel liner to make a cat eye too. It doesn't have to be liquid. Personally I never use liquid liner.
