How do I manage it? oh boy hahaha... I started with getting it cut in a few layers. So now its a little lighter and easier to style bc it gets a little wavier. I always use some kind of smoothing shampoo+mask to calm it down followed with 3 pumps of serum. I also only brush it when its wet with my tangle teezer. I can never ever brush it when its dry. = one big fluffy mess. My favorite products are the moroccanoil line, macadamia oil mask and the wella enrich shampoo and mask for thick hair. As a serum the biosilk lite. As for straightening I use the CHI flat Iron and I make it stay straight with the TIGI afterparty smoothing lotion that keeps it super straight without fly-aways. wow now my fingers hurt from typing hahaha. Goodluck!!

I have very thick hair, I normally keep it straight but I often get it slightly thinned so my head feels lighter and I am not carrying around lots of hair. Curling also works for be, but whatever works best for you x

So, my super thick hair is half ringlets, half waves, which is a super weird combination.

I tend not to brush it, since brushing it breaks it and ruins the curl pattern, leaving me with a giant, poofy head of hair. Instead, I use hair masks in the shower, and use my fingers to comb through it all until there are no more tangles. This works really well for me, and prevents breaking. I also always use a smoothing hair product of some kind after the shower, which also seals the cuticle and helps keep your hair sleek and shiny.

I keep it straight by using a flat iron with titanium plates, which is better for your hair than ceramic. My hair tends to hold heat styling really well, which is lucky for me, but not everyone has hair like that. My flat ironing can last 3 days (which is just until I wash my hair again) no problem.

My favorite products at the moment are:

-Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Conditioner, it smells great and really conditions and hydrates my hair, I adore this stuff.
-Shea Moisture Raw Shea Treatment Mask, I like this as well, it's super thick so I feel like it really clings to my hair and smooths it all out which is great.
-Devacurl Styling Cream for after the shower, also smells amazing, and helps my curls stay curly.

May I ask what kind of tips and tricks you'd like? I'd be happy to post my entire haircare routine if you'd like!

I have very thick, curly hair and while this may sound like the exact opposite of what you want to to, I just kinda let it do its own thing. After a shower, ill gently brush it and stick it up into a loose bun. I'll sleep with it like that. In the morning, I'll take it down and let it finish drying on its own. I use the Paul Mitchell super skinny serum, the Govanni vita pro fusion leave in hair treatment and the Govanni direct leave in weightless conditioner. All of these are used after a shower. I don't straighten it that often (it can take me up to 3 hours) so I don't really have any tips for that. Because my hairs very curly (it will form little ringlets if I let it dry on its own) I never brush it except for when its damp but I do this very lightly and gently
