Now that I look at them, I think the Naked Basics is better for pale to medium skin. But the Lorac would suit every skintone esp. tan or deeper.

I was never in love with my Naked Basics pallet. but I did love the Naked 2 color.
I had no idea Lorac did this skinny black pallet. going to have to look in to it. Thanks for sharing :)

Oh wow I like the lorac! I bought the naked basics 2 as my first palette and would I repurchase? Probably not but I made it work and usually use the colors with other palettes.

Monica, yes, I also never knew about it when it first came out. Apparently it originally sold for 15.00. Way cheaper than the Naked Basics. I actually got it for 18.00 plus 2.00 for shipping. Bit I have seen it cheaper on ebay if you bid on it. Usually when a product is limited edition, they jack up the price on ebay, but this wasn't bad at all.

I have the naked basics 1 and at first I thought it was amazing but looking back its not my favorite... should have kept my money... but back then there werent too many matte palettes accessible to me so I thought it was awesome. I do however still use the dark brown and black very often. and the colours are good on my skin tone. I really love the colours of those lorac shadows though... I probably would have gotten that instead if I could have.

Dana, that's how I used my Naked Basics palette, with another palette. But I think the Lorac one can stand alone, because it has 5 mattes, 1 shimmer and 1 satin. Whereas the Naked 1 only had 1 shimmer, no satin. At first I thought the Lorac palette didn't have a inner eye highlight shade, but it actually does! The 2nd shimmer shade actually swatches like a warm beigey shimmer, which I like way better than a white shimmer like the one in the Naked Basics 1 palette.

That's how I felt. I almost bought the Becca Ombre Nudes pallete for 40.00. It only has 5 shades and NO black shade. I actually like the packaging of the Lorac one over the Becca one.

Ebay has a few SKINNY palettes. Navy, Nudes, Plum and Marsala. I got the BLACK one. But they are so cute, I may get another one, maybe the MARSALA.

I had the Naked Basics palette and ended up giving it to a friend because I never used it. I don't have the Lorac Skinny (I didn't even know that existed) but I have the Lorac Pro Matte and it's perfect for when I just want a neutral matte eye look, whether I want something simple or dramatic. I don't remember how much it is but I know I'm getting my money's worth out of it.

I didn't know Lorac came out with it. I didn't get the naked palletes because they didn't appeal to me and I doubt I would use it. I wonder how the quality of the Lorac palette is. I got the heart braker palette and it was a disappointment

Alexis, but the Skinny is so compact and travel friendly. Although I have NEVER touched up my eyeshadow during the day, and I probably have similar colors spread out from different palletes, like my Chocolate Bar & my Rich Chocolate & my Morphe 35W. But it's nice to have all the necessities in one compact palette. And you know, this is really not about "need", this is about "want", lol!!!

Forgot to mention, since I didnt use my Naked Basics 1 as much as I thought I would. I actually started using the 4 shade to contour my nose. I actually prefer a different contour shade for my nose than under my cheekbones.

Marleen, the Lorac Pro Matte is very small and travel friendly as well (:

Alexis, omg, are you trying to tempt me? lol! Girl, I'm still waiting for my 35o & the Zodiac palettes. Seeing a trend here...neutrals, neutrals and more neutrals! Trying to break out a bit from my comfort zone, hence, the Zodiac palette. I thought it was comparable to the Viseart Dark Matte Smokey Palette (but I am not spending 80.00 on a shadow palette, I don't care if it even had 80 shadows in it).

I'm not trying to tempt you, I was just mentioning that it is travel friendly since you didn't seem to think so (:

The smash box full/double exposure mini palettes are such a good size. They have 8 shades rather than 5 in naked basica.

Sarah, since I wasn't that satisfied with the Basics 1, I didn't even consider the Basics 2, esp. because the 2 has cooler colors. Also another reason why I love the Lorac one over the Basics, is because they're not all mattes. The Basics are ALL mattes, that's why it's not as versatile as the Lorac. The Lorac has 5 mattes out of the 7, 1 shimmer and 1 satin. PERFECT!

I love the Naked Basic 1 Pallet! It is my definite daily go to when I'm looking for a soft natural daytime look. I use WOS on my eyelid, Naked 2 in the crease, Faint in the outer corner and Venus just below the browbone and then blend softly so there are no harsh lines. One of my absolute favorite looks! I just recently got the Lorac Pro Pallet and have been blown away by the color payoff and staying power. I will for sure be checking out the Lorac Skinny Black (didn't know it was even out there). Can't wait to try it, the colors look perfect for my skintone. Thank you!!
