Hey guys! What are some nice powders to contour with? I know there are nice palettes but I don't need that many colours.

NYX HD Blush in Taupe is a perfect contouring color. I've heard a lot about the Kevyn Aucoin (sp?) contour powder as well but I haven't used that one.

I use NYX taupe powder blush to contour! :)

Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder.
The NYX blush in taupe was a little too muddy on me and wasn't the right color for my skin tone

I also don't like contour palettes. Its such a waste for me. I like Marc Jacobs. They are duos. One contour shade and one matte highlight shade. There are 3 choices. I have the middle one called MIRAGE.

Alma do you have a review on the sephora color at all? I haven't seen it before but it looks promising as a contour shade. I don't have access to online shopping right now so my options are low lol.

Hi Alyx, I swatched it at sephora and I was pretty impressed by it not bad at all and smooth. I almost bought that one as well lol :)

Inglot also has individual sculpting powders, and makeup geek also just released individual contour shades. I will eventually try both out, as I have a yellow undertone to my skin, but did recently purchase the wet'n'wild contour/highlight duo in toffee and I really enjoy it.

Sephora Contour Powder in Tranquil is the perfect grey based color. It's not too much of a "tan" shade where it would look like there is just a streak of bronzer on your face, it looks so natural and great.

Tranquil is a beautiful color, but unfortunately it was TOO grey for my medium warm, slightly olive skintone.

Hi Marleen, exactly how much contour product do you think you should notice? Tranquil doesn't show intense Grey off the bat in fact it's not a solid grey.I'm actually surprise it wouldn't work with you. :)

Nyx look perfect on me.

Alma, Like I said I have a warm medium skintone with a slightly olive undertone. But I also have some melasma on my face, My melasma is in the exact spot where
you would contour but on on the lower end of the cheekbone area. So I only use my contour starting from my hairline to meet up with the melasma area (about 1 & 1/2. inches. ) So I need a shade that matches my "naturally" contoured melasma area. I guess I'm a special case, because of my melasma.

Alma, how do you like the infallible contour one you just posted?
