Advice on working at Ulta!

Does anyone know if you have to have experience to work at Ulta other than knowledge of makeup and being able to apply your own make up well?? Would love to hear anyone's experience in working there, and if they recommend it or not!

According to Ulta's website you need 1 year of relevant work experience so they want you to already have retail experience if you're applying to be a cashier/team member.

My friend applied but turned it down because they pay minimum wage. You don't need makeup knowledge to be a cashier. You do however need knowledge I know to be a prestige beauty advisor, aka to work on the prestige side. That's all I heard, I could be wrong lol.

I currently work at Ulta. I think it varies based on location. Our location is very open...they are not that hard on you. Obviously it's a job as long as you can perform the daily tasks at hand without someone holding your hand... You should do amazing. Keep a positive attitude and do what you do best just be yourself. What state are you in?
