I've wanted to get eyelash extensions for the longest time but I'm afraid that it will affect my natural lashes. Like will my natural lashes fall out, get weak, thin or brittle after? Let me know your experience! :)

I got mine done once before I really loved the facted they they did look nature and they. I plan on getting them again but I would just try to do them for special occasions. because after taken them out some of my nature lashes came off. its been almost a month and I still have some patchs of where I lost lashes but nothing that noticeable.

I also didn't like my eyelash extensions you can't properly get your makeup off with them, it was such a weird feeling, I was better off just using mascara instead of getting my eyelash extensions

They're great, but its an expensive upkeep; and like these ladies said, its hard to keep them clean.

The two most important things when it comes to lash extensions is who you go to, and how well you take care of them.

It is quite important to make sure you are going with a reputable lash technician, not just whoever has the cheapest groupon. Go in and ask questions, be sure to ask about upkeep, about the product line they use, test their knowledge on eyelashes themselves and eye care. Ensure that you have a well trained technician as well as look at their portfolio and check out reviews! Your eyes are nothing to mess with, and not everyone is skilled at dealing with such a tedious process. If your tech isn't very good, she may end up leaving balls of glue, attaching a lash crooked, attaching your own lashes together or even attaching one extension to more than one eyelash. All of these scenarios will cause pulling as your natural lashes grow out which is what will cause irritation of the eyes as well as damaged or weakened lashes. The brand they use is also important, as it represents the brand they got their certification with. I personally would not allow any company other than Xtreme lash near my eyes. I've seen their curriculum and test requirement and am confident that they ensure all of their techs to be trained to the best of their abilities before being certified. The product is surgical grade and has the least risk of irritating the eye area as it is hypo allergenic. It was actually developed by a nurse! :) Xtreme has a website where you can check out all the techs near you by the way, I definitely recommend checking it out.

No matter how well your lash extensions are applied, they won't last if you don't take care of them properly. Your lashes have a natural growth cycle of 28-32 days, so it is recommended that you get a refill about every 3 weeks. Lash glue is water proof, but weakened and disbonded by oils in our makeup and skin care products. They are not difficult to clean at all, simply be gentle and use an oil free product that will not disbond the glue. I also recommend that you use a spooly and brush gently through them focusing on the tips to prevent any tangling and tugging. I'd love to answer any specific questions, there's just way too much to ramble on hahaha!
