Hi, I have combi skin. Overall my skin is normal skin type just that it gets very oily and shiny on my nose and some parts of my forehead near my eyebrows.
I don't need a heavy coverage foundation. I'm just looking for a light to medium coverage foundation or light bb cream to brighten and even my skin tone and at the same time control the oil on my nose well.
Any recommendations for products that has good oil control or able to control the shine on my nose?

I'm using Dior nude air foundation which is really very light weight however the shine on my nose is still uncontrollable

The Maybelline Matte + Poreless foundation is a great matte medium coverage foundation. Also, I hear the Garnier matte bb cream is really good but has a limited colour range. A simple fix would be a mattifying primer. I use the Rimmel Stay Matte primer on the center of my face (I have a similar problem as you) and it has worked wonders. Also, I lightly powder my nose to set everything and now I don't have to worry about my nose oiling up for around 8 hours.

The Body Shop carries a moisturizer for combo/oily skin which really helps mattyfing your face through the day :) great great product (actually, all the seaweed line).
On top you can add almost any BB cream you want. The Loreal BB cream is good for your skin type :)

If just use a powder foundation.
I like the studio fix powder. If you use a big fluffy brush you'll get sheer coverage. If you use a more dense kabuki brush you'll get medium coverage.
If you want a liquid product then I'd go for the L'orèal True Match, the original liquid one.
It's a medium coverage but you can mix with your moisturizer for lighter coverage.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Was looking into tinted moisturizer as well and thought of trying the Laura mercier one for oily skin!

I have the same problem I highly suggest L'Oreal True Match, or Bourjois Healthy Skin Serum. Do you use a primer? I think you would really like the Stila Primer, I forget the name but it has 3 colors (green, white and beige) whwn you pump it out it all mixes together. it gives your skin amazing texture and helps stop oil. plua I agree with the body shop's seaweed day cream, it does an amazing job.

I don't use primer because it causes my skin to be really flakey which I don't understand why? Alright I shall get the body shop's seaweed day cream soon!

What primer have you tried? it shouldn't make your skin flakey unless you're using one that's not meant for your skin type. I find if I use a primer that is extremely mattifying then I can look flakey. also lots of silicone based primers can sometimes cause foundation to ball up on your skin or excentuate any dry patches.

The new Lancôme Teinte idole HD Matte foundation sticks are perfect. I'm super oily, and this is quite matte. It's portable, blends like a dream, and you can build for the coverage you want.
