Ohhhh I see! When I was giving makeup advice, I had in my head the mission trips I've done in Iceland and Africa and Brazil and stuff. That definitely changes things! In any case I hope you have a fruitful trip sister! 😉👍🏻

I've been on a few mission trips myself, and I didn't even end up wearing the makeup I brought. That said, I would go for a tinted moisturizer since you have dry skin. Then mascara and lip gloss and that's it. That's all you really need to accentuate your features, and it's a bonus if your tinted moisturizer has SPF in it! Where are you going? I love mission trips! ❤️

I'm always going on trips/vacays so I have a separate bag for my skincare. I always have sunscreen with me no matter where I go. Also, cleanser (Philosopy travel size), makeup wipes (Garnier), eye cream (Origins a must for tired eyes), moisturizer (Embryolisse), and lip balms (any). As for my makeup I only bring few things like, liquid foundation (Mac), brow wiz (ABH), finishing powder (Hourglass), eye corrector (Bobbi Brown), mascara (Loreal), lash curler (Kevyn Aucoin). For clothing, jeans, leggings, shirts and cardigans if it gets chilly. For shoes, a pair of sneakers (Stan Smith Adidas) and flats (Tieks).

For minimal makeup I would just go for concealer, mascara, blush, gloss and brow gel. I don't believe any type of foundation should be needed and if you're trying to justgo for more comfort then this short list should really be all you need.

Micabella (or any mineral powder foundation) is fantastic for dry skin! It's not an overly mattefying product and you're avoiding cakey layers, and pure mineral products are never 100% matte and seem to have a glow to them when they set! I have extremely dry skin as well as eczema

Ok Thank you both,Livi & Brittany! And Brittany, powder foundation sounds like a great option, wonder why I didn't think of that. Although, I have quite dry skin, would it work w/ my skin type?

And yes, leggings are the bomb, breathable Capri leggings are great in warmer weather depending on where you're going, tank tops and some comfy cotton t shirts of course haha

When I'm doing light makeup I prefer using a full coverage powder foundation as you can sheer it out as much as you'd like an it works as concealer/foundation/setting powder all in one! My personal favourite is the micabella mineral foundation :) I personally opt for lash extensions as they make you look wide awake and ready to go all the time without the work but if you prefer mascara be sure to pack that, brows are essential as well, preferably a pencil with an included spooky and then of course some sort of bronzer or contour powder to my face has shape and isn't all one shade of brown haha.

My minimal makeup is brows, concealer, setting powder, bronzer and blush, mascara and lipstick.
I always go for leggings and tanks for comfort

So I'm going on an 8 day mission trip, and beauty wise, I don't know what to pack. Suggestions on (minimal) makeup, comfortable clothing, etc. are appreciated!
