Sometime soon I am going to a little family get together, which look is better on me? Btw I ran out of mascara but I will be getting some tomorrow!

My eyes are hazel but have a lot more green in them and I have ivory skin.

Neither look blended enough and I feel like you should add a transition color in your crease. I'm assuming you are younger or new to makeup so I'd highly recommend going on YouTube and checking out some eyeshadow tutorials. I definitely think that purple would suit your eyes better (even better than the blue) This is all my opinion and I hope you don't take any offense to anything I say! You have very beautiful eyes and I'm just giving you my best advice! 😊

Both colors suit you well! but Look 2 is less dramatic so I think it could be more appropriate :) but it also depends on what are you wearing

Thank you both!

Kathlyn I have been watching videos but I don't have enough brushes to have it look nicer. I only have around 4-6 brushes.

But thank you!

Also the blue in my crease and above is actually lighter, it's just my camera won't capture it

Do you want my honest opinion? I feel like these are very messy and more dramatic eye looks no matter what they are, should always be accompanied by at least a little bit of mascara. I can see where you were going with both looks however if I had my shadow like that, I'd want someone to tell me that it doesn't look the best. Maybe you could instead wear a coloured lip gloss and try these looks again at a later date with mascara? :)

I'm not saying you're doing a horrible job either, because I'm no expert at eyeshadow by any means but I just feel like the more you practice the better it will get, I just wouldn't personally wear these looks out is all.

Shaye I haven't been practicing a lot because these last few months I have been sick and busy with school. I don't do looks like this everyday, I do these for certain days. Also I don't really have the things I need right now because I don't have the money.

You don't need to have a lot of brushes! I personally use a lot of cheaper brushes from elf that are only $1 because I'm a girl in school and I don't have money to spend on makeup brushes lol! You definitely don't need sigma or any of those higher end brushes many YT's use!

Okay good haha, it's just I need a few more cheap blending brushes that's all. I've watched makeup videos for a few years and always wished I had those brushes that they use, lol

I know the feelings lol! I started to wearing makeup when I was in 5th grade which is kind of early, but I'd watch tons of tutorials and try to recreate their looks, but I didn't have the proper tools. Elf does have a blending brush I use on a daily basis. It isn't the best, but it's definitely a great purchase for those of us who can't afford expensive brushes :) You can also try Eco Tools for cheap eye brushes! Their's are a little better quality in my opinion, though they are several $$ more expensive (still affordable) It's up to you. I use my elf blending brush and it works fine 😊

I think Look 1 looks best. I don't think the second on works very well with your skin tone. I would also wear eyeliner with either of these looks to act as a sort of blockade for your eye from the eyeshadow color. Definitely try blending the eyeshadow in and I would try a three color palette. The blue for on your lid. A darker blue in the crease and a light highlight color above the crease. I don't want to offend you. You're gorgeous and just thought I'd give you some constructive advice. I hope you don't take it the wrong way! :)
