i think you could do one with a sock it might just be huge! lol but try using just a little ankle sock. The point of a sock bun is to make your hair look thicker, so you got it handled! a regular bun would probably look really full and awesome on your head! hope this helps!

Thanks so much! Ill give it a try! The only thing is I don't know what to do once I have the hair around the sock with a rubber band over it, like what do I do with the hair left?

After you take a shower put mouse in ur hair and blow dry it out tease it a little, then try again. I have very thick hair too and I just have to add a little more texture to hold it. If this sous not help you add hairspray to the piece u are using to make the bun. Really just do anything to add texture and give it more grip. I really hope this helps!!!

You can buy donut rings that you use instead of a sock, you just wrap your hair around, they're really easy, good for thick hair and cute! :) hope this helps!
