The Hourglass does have a thin consistency to it. It's kind of like a very lightweight. almost watery kind of lotion. :)

I agree with Jacqueline, it's a very thin consistency to start out with. For future liquid beauty purchases, give it a little shake prior to the first time pumping it so you don't risk separation of your product.
