You kind of look more bruised than mermaid like. Maybe another go at it would yield better results. Consider glitter or different colors.

I agree with esotericodium, I wouldn't use red, I think it would look better with blues, teals, greens, silver.

I would have personally opted for more pastel colours rather than red but this still looks super good! :)
