To dampen it initially I'll only use water. that way it's damp all the way through. if I feel like it's drying out on me because I'm taking too long to do my makeup I'll spray it with some rosewater or some elf setting spray to redampen it. but if I'm using it with certain products I don't wet it at all. like the it cosmetics under eye concealer. that spreads better with either a dry sponge or a sponge just very lightly sprayed with rosewater. same for my rcma foundation.

I always dampen it first with water. Sometimes I spray fix+ on it before I blend out my concealer because I've heard it applies better however I don't really see the difference lol.

I spritz setting spray onto my sponge and press and roll it over my makeup. I find it is easier to control setting spray when applying it with a sponge. Also use Fix + on a sponge if my makeup looks powdery or too thick to make it more dewy.
