Looks pretty dumb to me, like an obvious line of orange on her face. However it does make her look a little glowy and bronzed imo. Never heard of this.

I personally don't think it looks too great as well, but hey I already am extremely red on my cheeks and nose from hereditary (kinda looks like I wore ski goggles and got sunburnt) so if this becomes a huge trend then I won't have to worry about it anymore!!XD.

That's kind of one of the areas you'd normally put bronzer, including the forehead and chin then you could apply your contour product under your cheekbone, sides of nose and sides of your forehead.

I think the color they used is a bit off the first girl it looks more like blush was used and gives a sunburnt look.
The second girl it look quite orange so maybe that's part of the trend? To look sunburnt? Not really fond of it.

This is less of a new technique than strobing was. you apply bronzer to the highpoints of the face where the sun would naturally hit and give color to. this technique is nothing new or crazy. along the cheeks, the bridge of the nose, the chin, the temples, are all places that bronzer normally goes anyways when bringing warmth to the face (all depending on the face shape) overdoing and underblending it (as strobing was to highlighting) is the new trend of it all.

I guess if someone wanted to look more natural it might be okay? I don't know. I wouldn't do it. If I wanted to look that natural I wouldn't spend so much money on products to alter my appearance, lol.

It looks like a real sun tan/burn and I think that's the point of it - when I get tan from being outside those areas usually get dark on me first cause I have high cheek bones and a pronounced nose - so I think it looks fine just another way to apply bronzer as opposed to the E and 3 methods - which can look like a fake attempt at contouring sometimes - so I think this looks more natural so I like it :)

I like the placement but the colours a bit off. I usually apply my bronzer this way.
I'm actually in the market for a new bronzer. What do you ladies think would be the right bronzer or bronzer shades for this kind of placement to make it the most convincing/ natural?

I like it, because it is where the sun would naturally hit you, although I agree, that it is the wrong color. It looks like a blush color. It could look beautiful if done lightly and with the proper bronzer color for her skintone. Plus, this is not a new look, and I think it's silly that everyone is trying to label everything like it's a new thing, when it's been around for years. I've done this look with bronzer and then very carefully applied a little Nars Exhibit A (intense red blush) on top of it for that , just came from the beach look.

I think the examples don't give it justice, I actually like using this technique once in a while and people always tell me that I look so sunkissed and healthy.
These examples show a very harsh and unblended version of this look but it really can make you look very youthful if used correctly.
I use a bright red blush ( Nars Exhibit A) and I use it very lightly with my synthetic fluffy fan brush under my eyes and lightly over the bridge of my nose. Of course I complementizer the look with bronzer.

I agree with Breeze and Charli. The examples are a bit harsh but this seems like a great alternative for skipping out on sunscreen. I looked up some softer examples on the Internet and it looks very nice.
