Sanitizing lipgloss tube?

Is there anyway to sanitize a liquid lipstick/lipgloss tube?
I purchased a Milani lip creme from Walmart today, and even with close examination I still ended up walking out with a tube that had already been opened. Is there anyways to salvage this tube without the fear of putting on dirty lipstick?

No, if it is contaminated, the product itself would be contaminated not just the wand.

My local Walmart takes anything back (even things that definitely shouldn't be taken back). I agree to return it.

Usually walmart takes stuff back with no issue. I would definitely bring it back... you never know what kind of bacteria could be growing in there. and trust me, I'm sure they get this type of problem often. at my walmart, almost every single wet and wild and covergirl product is open... gross :P.

Just ask for an exchange rather than a return
