My hair is probably 2 inches from my shoulder and I've tried buns (can't do them, ended up looking like a 70's pop star). Everyone is wearing their hair in a ponytail like, AT THE TOP OF THEIR HEADS, and my hair just falls down. My hair isn't quite long enough for a braid, I just want something cute but easy that won't get wet in the pool!

I have the same length and the tip for buns it Bobby pins! Put some on the underside and they should help keep the hair from falling out. You could also use bun pins to keep the hair in the bun. I usually curl my hair, do a half up/half down, or just pin back little prices so they are out of my face.
