I've been looking into getting a separate exfoliator for awhile just so I can give my skin the extra kick and exfoliation that I'm sure my skin's not getting with just my Clarisonic alone.
While browsing through Sephora's website I came across the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel. It seems to be just what I'm looking for, gentle but effective.
Has anyone used this product before? Any other suggestions from Sephora if not this one?

I was seriously doing the same thing right now and stumbled upon the same product lol another product that looked good was the Clinique exfoliating scrub but I've never tried either so sorry :)

I haven't tried the Bocia one, but I currently use Peter Thomas Roth peeling gel, and let me tell you, this stuff is freaking magic. You can literally see and feel the dead skin rolling off of your face. it's a bit pricey, but you only need the smallest bit for your whole face. I highly suggest it.

Baileigh, that's what I was reading about with the Boscia one as well, that you can see and feel the dead skin balling up and rolling away! I'll have to compare them a bit more (:

I tried it and it's not bad. Really helps getting the dead skin off and leaves your skin super smooth.

Thank you, Shae-Lynn! (:

I haven't tried the Boscia but I got a sample of the Peter Thomas Roth. But what I found out through my own experience and reviews was that it's the product that balls up it's not your actual skin. It does a pretty good job but it's not your skin you see. It starts to ball up before I even start really rubbing it on.

Ms L, well it made sense that it would be dead skin but I guess that's not the case. I'm still rather interested but thank you! (:

@Alexis yea I was all amazed. like wow this really works! But don't get me wrong it does exfoliate but I personally need a deeper exfoliator with my dry/flaky/acne medicated skin. :( good luck finding one I'm still looking.

Well I hope you find something that works for you soon! I get some exfoliation from my Clarisonic but especially with these winter months I just need a little something more (:

Hey! I used to work for Sephora... While I prefer the PTR peel gel, I did like the boscia. There's a good set right now with the tsubaki oil. It is your skin you see balling up, the enzymes immediately break down the dead skin cells.

Thank you so much, Nicki! I think I'm going to go for the Boscia one then (:

I have a peeling gel that I purchased. I rub the gel on my hands while using gloves and the product rolled into a ball. I think peeling gels are a scam.

The Boscia Peeling Gel and PTR are definitely scams, it's just the product rolling into a ball to make you think it's actually your dead skin, I've been trained by both companies and unfortunately have had many clients dissatisfied with the false claims that these peel gels have offered which has resulted in many returns of both products

I got a sample and love it!! Especially cause you can do it right before applying makeup so it's less time consuming then washing and exfoliating right before!

I love the ptr one and Ulta sells a smaller tube in case you want to try it before you make the investment:)

The product itself does ball up of course it doesn't just disappear, however I do see flakes of skin in it too and my skin is definitely exfoliated afterwards. You can tell if you have major flakiness and it disappears after one treatment that it's working:)

I actually read up on it on Beautypedia - both lines. Both properly exfoliate however only topically meaning a regular scrub will do the same thing. I prefer BHA's because they not only exfoliate but treat but that is all up to you.
