I use a homemade brownsugar and coconut oil scrub on my face when I get flakey then I wash it off with Luke warm water then Pat dry and moisturize with a thick cream. I've been using one from lanc?me but I'm running out and need to buy a new one... I'll put a thick layer on and not rub it all in just hang out for 15 minutes with a pink/white face. then I'll massage as much in as my skin will take then I wipe the excess off with a soft cloth. then proceed with makeup :)) hope I helped :)

I don't really have dry skin but on my nose I do. I suggest using Olay night cream and their moisturizer, they helped my dry parts of skin a lot!

I have dry flaky skin and since I live in a dry climate winters are rough. When you exfoliate you should be careful about what products you use as some products can cause micro cuts in your face. Also only exfoliate about twice a week. I always apply moisturizer right out of the shower I just pat off extra moisture first. Lately I've also mixed in a drop of face oil with my moisturizer to give in an extra boost. These seem to be helping me a lot.

I experience this when the seasons change and I hate it! The best remedy for me is to exfoliate with a gentle scrub every day and good moisturizer and primer.

My friend with the same issue swears by the Cetaphil Intensive Moisturizer.

If you like Neutrogena, you try a couple of their more hydrating products. Nothing too rich or heavy, just something that's not going to strip your skin. They make this cleanser in a foaming formula and a creamy formula. Obviously the creamy one will be more moisterizing but some people prefer a foaming cleanser. Also this moisterizer is refreshingly hydrating without being too rich or greasy. Now you may need more than what these products offer, but at least it's a step up from what you're using.

Btw, I love that charcoal scrub/mask. But only a couple times a week. On days when I don't use a physical exfoliater, I use a mild, calming exfoliating tonic.
