I use the NARS liquid/gel illuminator on top of my foundation and before the setting powder. So far I've used the MUFE 152 synthetic fiber brush. But I notice that sometimes it disturbs my foundation underneath. I use different types, the MAC prolong waterproof nourishing foundation, Marc Jacobs remarcable foundation, MUFE ultraHD stick foundation and Bobbi Browns intensive skin serum foundation, and it happens with all if them! (Even with Erborians BB cream)
So reached the conclusion that I need a new brush. I usually use synthetic for creams and liquids, since they are easier to care for. But I know that some natural bristles are gentler and work better toward not disturbing foundations underneath. So really, I'm open to any suggestion :) I just want to find a good quality brush that would get the job done
Thank you so much ladies, any help will be deeply appreciated!

Have you tried stippling the product on instead of blending it in?

I have tried it! (It is mostly how I do it, sorry for not specifying) So what would be a good stippling brush?

Sephora has a good small stippling brush just make sure you're tapping the product on not buffing or swiping

Also for a cheaper alternative elf has a small stippling brush that's like $3 and it's the perfect size for highlight.

I agree the elf small stippling brush is what I use for my nars illuminator. Have you tried putting it underneath your foundation first? If you don't have a full coverage foundation on top it still is pretty much as intense of a highlight underneath vs overtop, at least on my skin

I just use my fingers for liquid. I have better control over tye amount applied and how much pressure to lay down the products. I tap a little onto the back of my hand, then dip my middle finger into the product, then gently pat both my middle fingers together to thin out the product, then gently tap it on. I use my fingers to blend or if I'm using a cream or stick highlighter, I sometimes use a damp beauty blender.

Thank you so much ladies!!
Alyx, I've tried that but it doesn't really show... I use Hot Sand, which isn't as sparkly/intense as Copacabana. I will give finger application a try Marleen, but I'm quite clumsy... But thanks for the recommendations! I think I will give the elf brush a try :)
